One Killed and Eight Injured in Walker County Two-Vehicle Crash on FM 2296

Walker County, Texas (May 9, 2022) – One person was killed, and eight others were injured on Sunday in a two-vehicle crash in Walker County, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened on May 8, on FM 2296.

DPS said two vehicles were involved in the crash.

One person was killed in the crash. The victim’s identity has not been released.

At least five people were taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital in downtown Houston for treatment.

Three children were taken to Texas Children’s Hospital for treatment.

Several victims were airlifted via emergency medical helicopter.

No other details were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
