Herman L. Alexander Killed in Beaumont Bicycle Accident on Eastex Freeway (Highway 69)

Beaumont, Texas (January 28, 2021) – A man was killed in a bicycle accident Monday night in Beaumont, according to police.

The deadly accident happened just before midnight, on January 25, in the 8000 block of Eastex Freeway (U.S. Highway 69).

Police said Herman L. Alexander, 28, of Beaumont, was riding a bicycle in the traffic lanes of the freeway when he was struck by a vehicle.

Alexander was taken to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, where he was pronounced dead.

The police are investigating the crash.
