Amy Ambercrombie Killed in Conroe Pedestrian Crash on Interstate 45

Conroe, Texas (December 8, 2020) – A 26-year-old woman was killed in a pedestrian accident Monday morning in Conroe, according to police.

The deadly accident happened around 5:43 a.m., December 7, on southbound Interstate 45 between South Loop 336 and Crighton.

Police said Amy Ambercrombie was walking in the main lane and was wearing dark-colored clothing when she was struck by a GMC pickup. The pickup was then hit by a Toyota.

The GMC and Toyota were then hit by a Montgomery County sheriff’s office patrol SUV. The impact caused the front left wheel of the patrol vehicle to come off and strike a fourth vehicle.

Ambercrombie was killed in the crash.

The crash closed the freeway southbound at Gladstell. The lanes have since been reopened.

The police are investigating the crash.
