Keith McCombs Killed in Jackson County Two-Vehicle Crash on SH 111 near FM 1593

Jackson County, Texas (January 19, 2021) – One person was killed Monday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Jackson County, according to the Texas DPS.

The deadly crash occurred around 6:55 a.m., January 18, on SH111 near FM 1593.

DPS said Keith McCombs, 62, of Palacios, was driving a Dodge Ram pickup truck westbound on the highway behind a semi-trailer driven by Roxana Martinez Trejo, 40, of Houston.

The semi-trailer slowed down to turn left onto FM 1593 and was rear-ended by the pickup truck.

McCombs was killed in the crash. He was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
