Bicyclist Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on Seven Mile Lane in North Harris County

One Killed in North Harris County Hit-and-Run Bicycle Accident on Seven Mile Lane near William Tell Street

Harris County, Texas (June 23, 2020) – According to authorities, a bicyclist was killed Sunday night in a hit-and-run crash in north Harris County.

The deadly accident occurred around 9:00 p.m. on June 21, on Seven Mile Lane near William Tell Street.

Deputies said the bicyclist was riding southbound when a car behind him attempted to turn right. A pickup truck that was traveling behind the turning car drove onto the wrong side of the roadway and then pulled back into the southbound lane, hitting the bicyclist.

The bicyclist was taken to a local hospital where he later died. His name has not been released.

The police are looking for the pickup driver, who continued driving southbound on Seven Mile Lane before turning west on Little York Road. He has been described as a Hispanic male, about 40 to 50 years old with a light complexion and brown hair.

The pickup was described as a 2005 to 2010 dark-colored Dodge Ram, and it should have heavy front-end damage.
