Two Women Injured in San Antonio Pedestrian Accident on North St. Marys Street

San Antonio, Texas – Two women were seriously injured early Sunday morning in a hit-and-run accident in San Antonio, according to the police.

The accident happened around 2:24 a.m., in the 2600 block of North St. Marys Street.

Police said the two women were on the sidewalk when they were struck by a black Chevy Tahoe. The Tahoe driver fled the scene and hit a parked vehicle across the street. The vehicle then crashed into a fence and the driver fled a third time. The vehicle was found abandoned between Valdez Street and East French Place Street, with multiple cases of cold beer inside it. If located, the driver will be charged with two counts of collision involving injury and failure to stop and render aid.

The police are investigating the crash.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

There are many different reasons why automobile, pedestrian, 18-wheeler, bicycle, and motorcycle accidents occur, including driver negligence, driver inattention, texting and driving, speeding, fatigue, failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign, or private drive, running a red light, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. While the factors listed above are the main causes of most accidents, there may also be other factors involved, which is why it’s important that an investigation be conducted before evidence disappears, especially in cases involving a fatality.  At Joel A. Gordon & Associates, we will act quickly to secure accident scene photos, interview witnesses, obtain police records, and secure other valuable evidence needed to win your case.  Call now for a free consultation.
