1 Injured in Head-On Crash on I-20 in Abilene

One Injured in Abilene Two-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 20

Abilene, Texas (September 20, 2022) – One person was injured Tuesday morning in a head-on collision in north Abilene, according to the police.

The crash happened around 7:45 a.m., on Interstate 20 near the Elmdale Road exit.

Police said a pickup truck was traveling westbound on the service road and was trying to merge onto I-20 when it failed to yield to an eastbound car, resulting in a head-on collision.

The car driver was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

No other person was taken to the hospital.

The police are investigating the crash.
