Isabel Muniz ID’d as Elderly Woman Killed in San Antonio Crash at General McMullen and Ruiz

San Antonio, Texas (July 19, 2019) – Isabel Muniz, 97, has been identified as the elderly woman who was killed Thursday night in a traffic accident at a west side intersection.

The deadly wreck happened at the intersection of General McMullen and Ruiz Thursday, July 18.

Authorities said a car occupied by Muniz and another elderly woman, was T-boned by a pickup that was attempting to avoid a vehicle that had run a red light at the intersection.

Muniz was transported to a hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries. The other elderly passenger and the driver sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital.

No further information was immediately available.

The crash remains under investigation.
