Jacklyn Espinosa Killed in Petronila Two-Vehicle Crash on FM 665 near County Road 61

Petronila, Texas (December 21, 2020) – Three people were killed Sunday afternoon in a fiery head-on collision near Petronila, according to authorities.

The fatal crash happened around 12:04 p.m., December 20, on FM 665 near County Road 61.

DPS said an old passenger vehicle was passing several vehicles at a high rate of speed when it crashed head-on into a four-door passenger car.

The force of the impact threw both vehicles into a field where they caught fire.

Three people were killed in the crash. Two of the victims have been identified as Amber Madrano, 31, and Jacklyn Espinosa, 22, of Corpus Christi.

The third victim has not been identified.

Two children, 3, and, 8, were airlifted to Driscoll Children’s Hospital and are expected to be okay.

The crash remains under investigation.
