Conner Bray, Hannah Bray and Two Children Injured in Jefferson County Multi-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 10

Jefferson County, Texas (April 13, 2021) – Four people were injured Sunday evening in a multi-vehicle crash in Jefferson County near Taylors Bayou, according to the Texas DPS.

The crash was reported around 5:45 p.m., April 11, on Interstate 10.

DPS said a 2013 Chevrolet pickup truck was traveling eastbound on the interstate behind a 2014 commercial motor vehicle and a 2015 Nissan passenger vehicle.

The Chevrolet driver failed to control his speed and rear-ended both the Nissan and the commercial motor vehicle.

The Chevrolet became pinned under the trailer portion of the commercial vehicle after the crash, trapping several people.

The Chevrolet driver, Conner Bray, 23, of Mississippi, and a 5-year-old child were airlifted to Hermann Memorial hospital with serious injuries.

Two other passengers in the Chevrolet, Hannah Bray, 23, and an 11-month-old child, were taken by ambulance to St. Elizabeth hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Nissan driver, Kymblyn Alexander, 59, of Westlake, Louisiana, was uninjured in the crash.

The driver of the commercial vehicle, Alberto Lopez, 48, of Dilley, Texas, was uninjured in the crash.

The crash closed the eastbound lanes of the interstate for about four hours.

The crash remains under investigation.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

While there are many causes of car accidents, the most common reasons of driver negligence include driver inattention; cell phone use; texting and driving; speeding; fatigue; failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive; running a red light; and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs,” Attorney Joel A. Gordon said. Mr. Gordon believes that an independent investigation is important. An Attorney will help obtain the crash report, secure accident photos, interview witnesses, and create a claim.
