Karoline Satterfield and Kimberlyn Satterfield Killed in Denton Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 380

Denton, Texas (May 25, 2021) – Three people, including two children, were killed, and three others were injured in a head-on collision Sunday morning in Denton, according to the police.

The fatal crash was reported just before 11:45 a.m., May 23, on westbound Highway 380 near Rockhill Road.

Police said the head-on collision involved a Ford Mustang and a Mercedes-Benz.

Two other vehicles were also involved in the crash.

Two children, a 5-month-old baby and a 4-year-old girl, and two adults in the Ford Mustang were taken to the hospital, where the children later died. The deceased have been identified as Karoline Satterfield and Kimberlyn Satterfield.

One of the two adults in the Mercedes-Benz was pronounced dead at the scene. She has been identified as 31-year-old Jordan Dodson. The other adult was taken to the hospital.

Two of the injured victims were listed in critical condition, while another adult was listed in stable condition.

The crash closed the highway between Fishtrap Road and Mayhill Road for several hours.

The crash remains under investigation.
