One Hospitalized after Garland School Bus Crash near N. 1st Street and N. Walnut Street
Garland, Texas (May 3, 2019) – One person was hospitalized Thursday morning after a traffic accident involving a Garland ISD bus and an 18-wheeler in Garland, according to authorities.
The wreck occurred Thursday, May 2 near N. 1st Street and N. Walnut Street.
Police said the big rig truck was making a turn when another vehicle went through the intersection and struck the 18-wheeler. The truck lost control and drove over a center median and hit four other vehicles including the bus.
The force of the impact caused the bus to overturn.
One person sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital.
The crash remains under investigation.
