Edward Ortiz Jr. ID’d as Man Killed in Kyle Motorcycle Accident on Interstate 35
Kyle, Texas (April 9, 2019) – The man who was killed Sunday night in a motorcycle accident in Kyle has been identified as 41-year-old Edward Ortiz Jr., according to the authorities.
The deadly accident occurred at about 10:15 p.m. April 8, on Interstate 35 near mile marker 217.
Authorities said Ortiz was speeding southbound on the interstate when he hit an 18-wheeler. The big rig dragged Ortiz for about 200 feet down the freeway.
Ortiz was pronounced dead at the scene.
The southbound lanes of I-35 were closed following the crash.
