Jacob Daniels Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash on State Highway 79 in Anderson County

Jacob Daniels ID’d as Man Killed in Anderson County Crash on State Highway 79

Anderson County, Texas (September 7, 2022) – The Texas Department of Public Safety has identified the man who died following a two-vehicle collision early Tuesday morning in Anderson County as Jacob Daniels, 22, of Palestine.

The deadly crash happened at about 4:35 a.m. Tuesday, September 6, on State Highway 79.

DPS said Daniels was driving northeast on State Highway 79 when, for an unknown reason, his vehicle drifted over the center median and collided head-on with a 2020 Freightliner truck-tractor hauling a trailer that was traveling southwest.

Daniels died at the scene of the crash.

Further details regarding the collision were immediately provided.

The accident remains under investigation.
