Jennifer Newell Injured in 2-Vehicle Crash on County Road 3555 in Cottondale

Jennifer Newell Airlifted after Cottondale Collision on County Road 3555 near Farm Road 2123

Cottondale, Texas (May 24, 2022) – Jennifer Newell, 35, of Granbury, was injured Friday evening in a two-vehicle crash in Cottondale, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The collision occurred at around 7:11 p.m. on May 20 on County Road 3555, about one mile north of Farm Road 2123.

DPS said Charles Green, 37, of Paradise, was driving a 2012 Dodge pickup on County Road 3555 when he failed to give one-half of the roadway to an oncoming 2005 Saab 930 driven by Newell.

The pickup ultimately collided head-on with the Saab.

Newell was airlifted to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth in unknown condition.

Green did not suffer any injuries.

Further details regarding the crash were not immediately provided.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
