Jennifer Renee Trevino Killed in Mercedes Two-Vehicle Crash on FM 1425

Mercedes, Texas (February 16, 2023) – A woman was killed Tuesday night in a pedestrian accident in Mercedes, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened on February 14, on FM 1425, north of Mile 8 Road.

DPS said a red Dodge Grand Caravan was traveling northbound on the highway when the driver failed to control her speed and rear-ended a black Ford Fusion.

The impact caused the Ford to roll over while the Dodge veered into a canal.

The Dodge driver, Jennifer Renee Trevino, 35, of Mercedes, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
