Jesus Reyes ID’d as Man Killed in Panola County Crash on US 79

Panola County, Texas (February 15, 2019) – The man who was killed in a deadly two-vehicle accident near Carthage in Panola County on Wednesday afternoon, has been identified as Jesus Ramon Reyes, 41, of Overton.
According to the DPS, the crash was reported at about 5:12 p.m. February 13, on US 79, approximately 2.2 miles west of the city of Carthage.
DPS said Reyes was driving a 2014 Ford F-250 when he slammed into a 2019 Mack truck towing a trailer and which was legally stopped to make a left turn into a private drive.
Reyes was pronounced deceased at the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
The DPS is investigating the accident.
