John Arthur Acles Jr., Killed in Longview Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on Estes Parkway

Longview, Texas (June 4, 2020) – The man who was critically injured Wednesday afternoon in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident in Longview has died, according to a local news source.

The accident was reported around 2:50 p.m. on June 3, in the 3100 block of Estes Parkway.

Police said John Arthur Acles Jr., 54, of Longview, was struck by a dark blue Ford F-150 or F-250 that was traveling northbound on Estes Parkway.

The vehicle fled the scene after the accident and was last seen heading northbound on Estes Parkway.

Acles was found lying on the roadway and was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries where he later died.

Officers are looking for the hit-and-run driver. The pickup has a black headache rack and might have damage to the front right part.
