Jonah Gashy Hospitalized after Victoria Bicycle Accident on Laurent Street and Bloomington Road

Victoria, Texas (April 3, 2023) – A bicyclist was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle Monday morning in Victoria, according to a local news source.

The crash happened at around 6:25 a.m. on Laurent Street and Bloomington Road.

As per the report, Jonah Gashy, 43, was riding his bicycle southbound on the outside lane of Laurent Street, traveling towards Bloomington, when he was rear-ended by a vehicle that was also traveling in the same lane, heading in the same direction.

Gashy was transported to DeTar Hospital in stable condition.

Authorities said it was still dark at the time of the accident.

No other information was immediately provided.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
