Texas City, Texas (May 26, 2022) – Authorities are investigating the cause of a multi-vehicle crash that happened on Wednesday morning in the Texas City area.

The wreck occurred at around 10:00 a.m. on May 25 in the 2900 block of the Gulf Freeway at FM 1765.

According to the authorities, two 18-wheelers and several other vehicles were involved in the crash. Details on what led up to the accident at this time are unknown.

The extent of the injuries sustained in the crash was not immediately available.

Police closed all northbound lanes of the Gulf Freeway while they investigated the scene.
