Charles Bolton Killed and Vanessa Sweet Injured in Hood County Two-Vehicle Crash on FM 2425

Hood County, Texas (November 19, 2021) – Two people were killed Monday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Hood County, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 3:57 p.m., November 15, on Farm-to-Market Road 2425 near Power Plant Court.

DPS said Charles E. Bolton, 79, of Granbury, was driving a 2017 Kia Soul westbound while Vanessa M. Sweet, 47, of Granbury, was driving a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze eastbound.

Both vehicles were negotiating a curve in the roadway when they crashed head-on near the center of the roadway.

Bolton was killed in the crash.

Sweet was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth with unknown injuries.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
