Three Hospitalized after Lake Travis Boat Crash near Point Venture

Pont Venture, Texas (July 5, 2019) – Three people were injured in a boat collision on Thursday night near Point Venture, according to the Austin-Travis County EMS.

The incident was reported shortly after 10:30 p.m., Thursday, July 4, on Lake Travis.

Two Texas Game Wardens and an intern were riding in a patrol boat when it was hit by a 29-foot Formula runabout near Mile Marker 16.

The three occupants of the patrol boat sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The operator of the second boat was arrested for boating while intoxicated.

The authorities are investigating the incident.
