Pedestrian Fatally Hit by Vehicle on I-35 in Austin

Person Killed in Austin Pedestrian Crash on I-35

Austin, Texas (July 14, 2019) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle early Sunday morning in Austin, according to a police report.

The incident took place at about 4:15 a.m. in the 200 block of I-13 near Cesar Chavez.

Police said the pedestrian was struck in the southbound lanes of I-35.

The victim, who was not immediately identified, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle involved remained at the scene of the crash.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
