Reva Garza ID’d as Man Killed in New Braunfels Crash off Farm-to-Market 306 near Hunter Road

New Braunfels, Texas (March 16, 2023) – The New Braunfels Police Department has identified the man who died following a head-on crash early Thursday morning in New Braunfels as Reva Garza, 41, of New Braunfels.

The deadly crash happened around 1:30 a.m. off Farm-to-Market 306 near Hunter Road.

Police said two Dodge Ram pickup trucks collided head-on.

Garza, who was the driver of the white truck, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Juan Sebastian Vargas of Waelder, Texas, was transported to a hospital while his two passengers, a 19-year-old man, and a 25-year-old man, were transported to the hospital in critical condition.

Vargas was later released and charged with Intoxication Assault with a Vehicle Causing Serious Bodily Injury.

Further details regarding the collision were immediately provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
