Jose Cruz Vega Jr. Killed in Odessa Pedestrian Accident on East Clements

Odessa, Texas (June 4, 2020) – The man who was injured last week Wednesday in a pedestrian accident in Odessa has died, according to police.

Officers said 35-year-old Jose Cruz Vega Jr., of Odessa, died on Thursday.

The accident happened on May 27, in the 100 block of East Clements.

Police said Vega was walking on the sidewalk when he stepped into the roadway and was struck by a vehicle.

Vega was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead on Thursday.

The police are investigating the crash.
