Woman Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash on Lake Shore Drive in Waco

55-Year-Old Woman Killed in Waco Two-Vehicle Crash on Lake Shore Drive near Wooded Acres Drive

Waco, Texas (August 15, 2020) – A 55-year-old woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash Thursday night in Waco, according to police.

The fatal crash occurred on August 13, on Lake Shore Drive near Wooded Acres Drive.

Police said the woman was driving a Ford F-150 eastbound on Lake Shore Drive when she lost control and veered into the path of a westbound GMC Yukon, resulting in a collision.

The impact pushed the Yukon into a treeline.

The woman was declared dead at the scene. Her name has not been released. She was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The Yukon driver sustained minor injuries in the crash.

The crash closed Lake Shore Drive.

The crash remains under investigation.
