Joseph Jones Killed, Robert Booker, Michal Rapp and Leonardo Losoya Injured in Henderson County Two-Vehicle Crash on RM 3054

Henderson County, Texas (October 31, 2021) – One person was killed, and three others were injured Friday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Henderson County, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 12:53 p.m., October 29, on RM 3054, around 2.25 miles east of Log Cabin.

DPS said Joseph Jones, 29, of Bullard, was driving a GMC Sierra pickup towing a trailer eastbound while Leonardo Losoya, 50, of Grand Prairie, was driving a truck tractor towing a trailer westbound.

Jones veered off the roadway into the southbound ditch, then back across the roadway into the westbound lane where he struck the truck tractor.

The pickup and its trailer came to a stop in the westbound lane facing eastbound after the crash, while the truck tractor and its tractor came to a stop in the northbound side ditch facing westbound.

Jones was pronounced dead at the scene. His two passengers, Robert Booker, 30, of Athens, and Michal Rapp, 44, of Plano, were taken to an Athens hospital with non-incapacitating injuries.

Losoya was also taken to an Athens hospital with non-incapacitating injuries.

The troopers are investigating the crash.
