Rickey Gonzales Killed in Austin Two-Vehicle Crash on Ed Bluestein Boulevard

Austin, Texas (June 24, 2021) – One person was killed and two others were injured on June 13 in a wrong-way crash in Austin, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 10:11 a.m., in the 7200 block of Ed Bluestein Boulevard.

Police said Rickey Delton Gonzales, 59, was driving a 1989 Chevrolet truck the wrong way when he crashed head-on into a 2015 Audi.

Gonzales was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Audi driver was taken to a local hospital in critical condition. A child in the backseat of the Audi was also taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.
