Joseph McMullin Killed in Montrose Pedestrian Accident on Westheimer Road; Kristina Chambers Charged

Montrose, Texas (April 22, 2023) – According to the police, the man who was killed early Wednesday morning in a pedestrian accident in Montrose has been identified by the family as Joseph McMullin,33.

The deadly accident happened on April 19, in the 1200 block of Westheimer.

Police said Kristina Chambers, 32, was driving a blue Porshe 911 Carrera westbound when she failed to maintain a single lane and struck a curb. The impact caused the vehicle to leave the roadway and hit McMullin, who was on the sidewalk.

The vehicle continued to travel and hit a pole in a nearby parking lot.

McMullin was pronounced dead at the scene.

Chambers and two passengers who were inside the Porshe were taken to local hospitals for treatment.

Chambers showed signs of intoxication and is facing a felony charge of intoxication manslaughter. She was released from the hospital and booked into jail on Monday.

The crash remains under investigation.
