Juan Fermin, Emilee Caraway Injured in Head-On Crash on SH 114 in Denton County

Juan Fermin and Emilee Caraway Injured in Denton County Four-Vehicle Crash on SH 114

Denton County, Texas (September 21, 2021) – Three people were injured Saturday night in a four-vehicle crash in Denton County, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 10:09 p.m., September 18, on State Highway 114 near Justin.

DPS said Juan A. Fermin, 50, was driving a 2012 Fiat eastbound in the westbound lanes of the highway when he crashed into a westbound Dodge pickup.

The force of the impact caused the Dodge to hit an Infinity that was in the right lane.

The Fiat also crashed head-on into a Hyundai Elantra that was in the right lane.

Fermin was airlifted to Medical City Denton Hospital with severe injuries. The Hyundai driver, Emilee D. Caraway, 23, and an adult male passenger were taken to Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Grapevine with unknown injuries. Caraway was treated and released.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
