Barbara Cole, Don Snider, and Charlene Snider Injured in Jasper County Two-Vehicle Crash on RR-255 and Highway 96

Jasper County, Texas (February 3, 2022) – Three people were injured Wednesday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in the north end of Jasper County, according to the authorities.

The crash happened just before 5:00 p.m., February 2, at the intersection of Highway 96 and Recreational Road 255.

Authorities said a 2013 Dodge Ram pickup truck was traveling eastbound on RR-255 when it pulled out onto Highway 96 into the path of a southbound GMC SUV, resulting in a collision.

The pickup truck rolled onto its side in the southbound lane of Highway 96 after the crash.

The GMC driver, 52-year-old Barbara Cole of San Augustine, was taken to CHI Memorial Hospital in Lufkin for treatment.

The pickup truck driver, 75-year-old Don Snider, and his passenger, 70-year-old Charlene Snider, both of Jasper, were taken to Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital for treatment.

The southbound lane of the highway was blocked for some time after the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
