Juan Rodrigues Killed in Head-On Crash on Highway 385 in Ector County

Juan Rodrigues ID’d as Man Killed in Ector County Crash on Highway 385 near Odessa

Ector County, Texas (February 20, 2023) – The Texas Department of Public Safety has identified the man who died in a head-on crash on Sunday night in Ector County as 23-year-old Juan Rodrigues of Andrews.

The deadly crash happened at about 11:52 p.m. on February 19 on Highway 385, about 5 miles north of Odessa.

DPS said Rodrigues was driving northbound on Highway 385 when his Chevrolet Silverado collided head-on with another pickup traveling on the wrong side of the road.

Rodrigues died in the crash. His passenger, 20-year-old Auden Saenz, also of Andrews, was taken to Medical Center Hospital with unspecified injuries.

The driver of the other pick-up, 37-year-old Primitivo Aaron Guerrero of Brownwood, was transported to Medical Center Hospital before being arrested on intoxication manslaughter.

Further details regarding the collision were immediately provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
