Julian Blanco Injured in Orange County Two-Vehicle Crash on Hwy 62 near Hickory Bend

Orange County, Texas (October 30, 2020) – Two people were seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday night in Orange County, according to troopers.

The crash was reported around 8:00 p.m., October 28, on Highway 62 near Hickory Bend Drive, north of Mauriceville.

Troopers said a 2016 Chevrolet pickup was traveling northbound on SH 62 when it attempted to turn left onto Hickory Bend and hit the driver’s side of a southbound 2010 Chevrolet passenger vehicle.

The driver of the Chevrolet pickup truck, Julian Blanco, 18, of Houston, was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital with serious injuries.

The Chevrolet passenger vehicle, Jeremy Morgan, 33, of Vidor, was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital with critical injuries.

The troopers are investigating the crash.
