One Killed and One Seriously Injured in Rains County Two-Vehicle Crash on SH-276
Rains County, Texas (March 29, 2020) – One person was killed, and another was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash Saturday morning in Rains County, according to the DPS.
The fatal crash occurred at about 10:30 a.m. March 28, on SH 276, west of Emory.
DPS said a 2017 Nissan Versa was traveling eastbound on the highway when, for unknown reasons, it crossed over the center stripe and struck a westbound 1995 Ford F-150.
The Nissan driver was declared dead at the scene.
The driver of the Ford was taken to Christus Trinity Mother Francis – Sulphur Springs in serious condition.
The DPS is investigating the crash.
