21-Year-Old Man and 17-Year-Old Girl Killed in San Angelo Two-Vehicle Crash on Houston Harte Expressway

San Angelo, Texas (December 16, 2019) – Two people were killed early Sunday morning in a two-vehicle crash in San Angelo, a local news source reported.

The fatal crash occurred around 2:53 a.m. December 15, on Houston Harte Expressway near Furniture Row.

As per the report, officers were dispatched to the intersection of Knickerbocker Road and Loop 306 for a reckless driver who was traveling in the wrong direction on the loop.

Minutes later, the reckless driver, a 21-year-old man, who was driving a black Chevrolet HHR, collided head-on with a white Ford Escape driven by a 17-year-old female.

The impact caused the HHR to catch fire.

Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities have not been disclosed.

The crash remains under investigation.
