2 Killed, 3 Injured in Wood County Car Accident on Highway 69 N at FM 779
Wood County, Texas (May 23, 2019) – Two people were killed and three others were injured Wednesday night in a traffic accident in Wood County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The deadly crash occurred on Highway 69 N at FM 779 between the cities of Mineola and Alba.
The DPS said a truck tractor towing a semi-trailer collided with a passenger car occupied by five people.
The driver of the passenger car was killed in the crash. One passenger in that car was also killed in the wreck.
Another passenger was airlifted to a Tyler hospital while two others were transported by ground ambulance to Tyler hospitals. Their current condition at this time remained unknown.
The identities of the victims have not been disclosed.
The crash remains under investigation.
