Ian Simpson Killed in Wrong-Way Crash on Texas 315 near Carthage

Ian Simpson Killed in Carthage Two-Vehicle Crash on Texas 315 

Carthage, Texas (December 15, 2022) – A man was killed early Sunday morning in a wrong-way crash about 2.8 miles southwest of Carthage, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 4:03 a.m., December 11, on Texas 315.

DPS said Ian A. Simpson, 35, of Carthage, was driving a truck eastbound on the wrong side of the roadway when he collided with a truck-trailer driven by Craig P. Ralls, 33, of Houston.

Simpson was pronounced dead at the scene.

Ralls was treated at the scene for non-incapacitating injuries.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
