Nurus Chowdhury Killed in Car Crash at Prestonwood Drive and South Sherman in Richardson

Richardson, Texas – The man who was killed Tuesday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Richardson has been identified as 74-year-old Nurus Safa Chowdhury, according to the Dallas County Medical Examiner.

The fatal crash happened on March 26, at the intersection of Prestonwood Drive and South Sherman.

Authorities said two SUVs collided at the intersection, causing one of them to burst into flames. Witnesses pulled the driver and passenger out of the burning vehicle. 

One of the victims, Chowdhury, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
