Three Injured in Houston Two-Vehicle Crash near Stony Brook Drive

Houston, Texas (November 2, 2020) – Three people were injured early Monday morning after a police chase ended in a crash in Houston, according to authorities.

The crash happened around 2:00 a.m., near Stony Brook Drive.

Authorities said a patrol officer spotted a man driving a Mercedes run a red light at Westheimer Road and Fondren Road, and he tried to pull him over.

The man sped away through a parking lot at about 100 mph, and the officer pursued him. The chase ended when the man crashed into a Cadillac.

The man attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended after he scaled a fence.

The Cadillac driver was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.

Two female passengers in the man’s car sustained broken arms and were taken to the hospital.

The man is expected to be charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and evading in a motor vehicle.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
