Two Killed in Midland County Two-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 20 near FM 1788

Midland County, Texas (June 8, 2021) – Two people were killed in a fiery two-vehicle crash on Monday in Midland County, according to the DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 10:30 a.m., on June 7, on Interstate 20 near FM 1788.

DPS said a passenger car rear-ended an 18 wheeler on the interstate. The force of the impact caused the car to catch fire.

Two people were killed in the crash.

The crash closed the eastbound lanes of I-20 at East Loop 338 in Odessa.

No other details were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
