Nacogdoches County, Texas (May 12, 2021) – A man was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Tuesday in Nacogdoches County, east of Etoile, according to troopers.

The fatal crash happened on May 11, on Highway 103.

Troopers said a pickup truck was traveling westbound when the driver made an unsafe turn in front of a westbound 18-wheeler, resulting in a collision.

The impact caused the 18-wheeler, which was hauling lumber, to travel off the roadway and crash into a tree.

The 18-wheeler driver, Kenedy Edwards, 54, of Center, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The pickup truck driver was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The crash remains under investigation.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

While there are many causes of car accidents, the most common reasons of driver negligence include driver inattention; cell phone use; texting and driving; speeding; fatigue; failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive; running a red light; and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs,” Attorney Joel A. Gordon said. Mr. Gordon believes that an independent investigation is important. An Attorney will help obtain the crash report, secure accident photos, interview witnesses, and create a claim.
