Kenley Raney Dies in Shallowater Crash on County Road 1100 and US Highway 84

Shallowater, Texas (January 26, 2019) – A man was killed when a vehicle slammed into a parked car near Shallowater on Friday, according to the DPS.
The wreck happened at County Road 1100 and US Highway 84 on Friday, January 25.
DPS said Dennis R. Abeyta, 32, of Littlefield was driving a car west on US 84 when he lost control and traveled off the side of the road, crashing into a parked car.
A passenger in the backseat of the parked car, Kenley Gene Raney, 40, of Henderson, Nevada, died in the collision.
One other person was transported to University Medical Center for treatment.
Abeyta’s vehicle came to a rest upside down near the railroad tracks causing BNSF to stop the trains for the investigation.
The DPS is investigating the accident.
