Kenneth Woosley Dies in 18-Wheeler Crash on Highway 87 in Trout Creek

Kenneth Woosley Killed in Trout Creek Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 87

Trout Creek, Texas (July 1, 2022) – According to the Texas DPS, the Newton man who was injured Tuesday morning in a two-vehicle crash involving an 18-wheeler in Trout Creek has died.

51-year-old Kenneth Woosley was pronounced dead at St Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.

The crash happened around 10:30 a.m., on June 28, on Highway 87.

DPS said Woosley was driving a 2011 Kia passenger car northbound on the highway when he rear-ended an 18-wheeler that was slowing to make a turn.

Woosley was taken to St Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, where he later died.

The 18-wheeler driver, William Nelson, 59, of Orange, was uninjured in the crash.

No other details were provided.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
