James Wilkerson, Mary Wilkerson and Christopher Wilkerson Killed in Collin County 3-Vehicle Crash on SH 121 near CR 1002

Collin County, Texas (December 17, 2020) – Three people were killed Sunday afternoon in a multi-vehicle crash in far northeast Collin County, according to the DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 2:10 p.m., December 13, on State Highway 121, near County Road 1002.

DPS said James Wilkerson, 65, of Durant, was driving northbound on the highway when he crossed over the center line and side-swiped one vehicle on the shoulder before crashing into another vehicle.

James and one of his passengers, Mary Wilkerson, 70, also from Durant, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Another passenger, Christopher Wilkerson, 17, also from Durant, was taken to a McKinney hospital where he later died.

The troopers are investigating the crash.
