Landon Bourque Killed in Frisco Bicycle Accident at Independence Parkway and George Washington Drive

Frisco, Texas (August 10, 2023) – A 15-year-old boy was killed early Wednesday morning in a bicycle accident in Frisco, according to officials.

The deadly accident happened around 5:30 a.m., August 9, at the intersection of Independence Parkway and George Washington Drive, outside of Roach Middle School, which is located near the McKinney-Frisco line. Heritage High School is located just south of the middle school.

Officials said Landon Bourque, a sophomore at Heritage High School, was on his bicycle and was trying to cross Independence at the intersection when a vehicle hit him.

The driver stopped to render aid.

Bourque was killed in the crash.

No other details were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
