San Angelo, Texas (May 28, 2021) – One person was critically injured in a small-engine plane crash on Thursday in San Angelo, according to the authorities.

The crash happened on May 27, at the San Angelo Regional Airport.

Authorities said a small-engine plane based out of San Angelo Regional Airport reported engine failure shortly after departing runway 18 and crashed-landed in a field.

One person on board the plane was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

No other details were provided.

An investigation is underway.
