Linda Villarreal and Devin Andrews ID’d as Victims of Fatal Floyd County Crash at U.S. 62 and FM 54

Floyd County, Texas (September 3, 2022) – Authorities have identified the two people who died following a head-on collision Thursday night south of Floydada in Floyd County as Linda Villarreal, 34, of Altus, Oklahoma, and Devin Andrews, 24, of Mount Vernon.

The deadly crash happened at about 8:30 p.m. Thursday, September 1, at the intersection of U.S. 62 and FM 54.

According to the authorities, a 2016 Nissan pickup, driven by Andrews, was coming off FM 54 when it collided with a 2016 Cadillac, driven by Prajedis Joel Villarreal of Altus, Oklahoma.

Prajedis Villarreal was transported to University Medical Center in Lubbock with unspecified injuries. His wife, Linda Villarreal, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses told the authorities that Andrews failed to stop for a red light at the intersection.

No further details were provided. The crash remains under investigation.
