One Killed in Weslaco Two-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 2

Weslaco, Texas (May 6, 2023) – One person was killed on Friday in a two-vehicle crash in Weslaco, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened on May 5, in the 500 block of westbound Interstate 2 near a ramp.

Police said a white Ford sedan and a maroon four-door Dodge Ram pickup were involved in the crash.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s identity has not been released. Another person was airlifted to a local hospital for treatment.

Traffic was redirected between westbound frontage road from North Bridge Street to Texas Boulevard following the crash.

The police are investigating the crash.
