Luis Gonzalez Killed in Harris County Boat Crash on San Jacinto River at Rio Villa
Harris County, Texas (July 4, 2019) – The man who was killed in a boat collision on Sunday in east Harris County has been identified as Luis Gonzalez, 33, according to a local news source.
The wreck took place on the San Jacinto River at Rio Villa on Sunday, June 30.
Deputies said a boat struck a bulkhead on the river.
Gonzalez, who was a passenger on the boat, is believed to have gone overboard and was not immediately located.
Two other occupants of the boat were hospitalized. A male victim was airlifted while a female victim was transported by ambulance.
Crews located the body of Gonzalez on Tuesday, July 2, at around 6 a.m.
The driver of the boat is facing charges of murder and intoxication assault.
The Texas State Parks is investigating the wreck.
