Luis Gonzalez Killed in Edinburg Pedestrian Accident at North 25th Avenue and El Cibolo Road

Edinburg, Texas (October 27, 2023) – A man was killed Thursday night in a pedestrian accident in Edinburg, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 9:41 p.m., October 26, at the intersection of North 25th Avenue and El Cibolo Road.

Police said a Chevrolet Silverado was traveling northbound in the inside lane when it struck Luis Gonzalez, 71 of Edinburg.

Gonzalez was killed in the crash. He was wearing dark clothing at the time of the crash.

The Chevrolet driver remained at the scene and is not facing any criminal charges at this time.

The crash remains under investigation.
